Comments This article refers to the code of conduct set by Australian Movie Convention recommended by the ACCC in August 1998.

Looks like the 'big boys' are not sticking to their deal.
Synopsis A fight over a proposed Canberra cinema complex has raised doubts over a new code of conduct which was supposed to bring peace to the cinema industry.

Andrew Pike, owner of Electric Shadows, an independent art house cinema also requires mainstream film prints to supplement the art house films in order to survive.

The introduction of this new multiplex cinema will seriously affect the clientele of the Electric Shadow.

The article raises doubts about the code of conduct introduced supposedly to protect small exhibitors and prevent this sort of thing from happening.
