Comments
Phillip Strick obviously enjoyed the film, and eloquently reiterates it to his readership, making his article a pleasure to read.
Synopsis
Strick refers to the Paris of 'The Cars that Ate Paris' as "..not too distant from those little Western towns accustomed to remedial attention from such as Clint Eastwood"(102)

Of Weir's treatment of his script, Strick comments that "...the erosion of humanity by malevolent, technological influences is actually more cliche than truth, perhaps, and the peculiarly immediate effect of the car on the personality has been lovingly revealed by the cinema many times"(102).
