The main aim of the report is to seek structural barriers to career advancement for women in the Australian film industry.
The focus of the report was women in the core production positions across the five employment sectors; feature films, production houses,government, commercial television and the freelance sector.
The study involved the statistical analysis of crew lists from feature film credits during 1985-86 and the analysis of data from a self-administered questionnaire.
