In reference to the article, it mentions the obscure ways in which Williams constructed the film, such as mentioning 'We had one camera, half a dozen lights and an old wire recorder'. He also mentions that he dubbed it in seven different languages. Williams created the film for it to become a 'historic document'. As the film was hailed as 'more human, more moving and more enacted' than any other documentaries before it. It is also interesting to note that in the article, Williams says that although the film was originally designed as government propaganda, it goes past that as it is a personal film, with 'performances by non-professional actors' which are amazing and add a 'gritty realism' to it.
