| Synopsis |
In the wake of the Port Arthur massacre the Federal Government is considering tightening controls on violent computer games and films. Howard is attempting to counter what he believes is a culture of violence in Australia by delaying the screening of violent television movies to 9:30 or 10pm. Although Howard claims to abhor censorship, he felt a responsibiltiy to children and finds it hard to believe the "repetitive mind-numbing violence ...on television does not have a deleterious effect". |
