Not a particulary good review as although Steve G recognises the direction and acting it appears he exalts the film for its ability to raise PC eyebrows (1st line of second paragraph) and present a break from the quirky Australian film which he describes as "the same morose morass of crud".

This review of Chopper appaulds the depiction of Read as a "loser" and claims his actions are put in perspective. Steve G empathizes with main characters and labels the film an "aussie epic" praising Dominik's direction and the way the film raises questions but doesn't try to answer them and doesn't expect an audience to do so either. |
