Comments The cinemascope is filming with special lens attached to a regulation camera and also extra microphones which pick up sound for the stereophonic sound system. A cinemascope is not like a the 3D films and it does not requires uses of viewing spectacles or special dual motion picture cameras and dual projector. But cinemascope present an illusion of three-dimension pictures, is said by many to be superior to 3d films.

Also cinemascope pictures are panoramic and have stereophonic sound that the wide screen used for “cinemascope is a solid screen having great reflectance and is curved slightly but not to the extent of the Cinerama screen”. Furthermore, cinemascope is simple, inexpensive process applicable to either colour or black and white films which stimulates three dimension to the extent that objects and actors seem to be part of the audience, while its stereophonic sound imparts additional life like quality as it moves with the actors across the screen. Also cinemascope requires one projector that the screen is curved slightly and fills entire stage proscenium, three speakers-one in centre and one at either side of screen reproduce the stereophonic sound track, lending added naturalnesss and dimension to Cinemascope movies.

Synopsis It tells what the cinemascope is about and also demonstrate how the cinemascope works.
