Comments It's fascinating to see just how much support the Palais has from international artists. From Bruce Springsteen to The Rolling Stones, they all want the legacy of the Palais to live on. The Rolling Stones played seven shows at the Palias in 1965, and six more in 1966. Springsteen played three shows in 1977.

Local community group unChain St Kilda, hoped to raise $13.5 million, by getting supporters like The Rolling Stones to donate $5000 to one of the 2700 seats within the venue.

Rachel Griffiths mentions how she attended ballet performances there with her mother. Griffiths also had her wedding reception at the venue.
