Comments This text is clearly intended for the audience in Indonesia that wants to see the film Balibo and could not because of the banning. The Indonesia’s Independent Journalist’s Alliance show their protest and stand on their rights to the freedom of speech and even challenging the ban in Indonesia’s State Management Court.

This is one of the proven articles that show the banning incident was a one-sided decision by the government and the Indonesian citizen and people in Film Industry wanted to watch the film. Just like Hendrayana said in his statement, the film does not create probelmes and the ban actions is just a paranoia from Indonesian’s government.

This is a good material for the discussion regarding Indonesian’s public reactions toward the film and the point of view from the Indonesian Government. From the article, we need to see the reason why the government need to pulled the banning act to the film and more intensive research need to be done

Synopsis Indonesian journalists will appeal the country's decision to ban the Australian film Balibo
