The complexities that both media formats possess and the responsibilities they have in terms of information and the way in which that material is presented to an audience.
He also looks at the industry in terms of profit and marketing strategies, continuously relating these ideas back to the revival of Australian film and what makes a film Australian. In regards to themes, ideas and concepts. With they be well received to an over seas audience etc.
O'Regan discusses the idea of film revival in two major sections, the first being 'Taking issue' and the second 'Situating the films'. By doing this he allows the issues to become clearer and more relevant.
