Comments Robert Taylor is the current General Manager of the National Theatre and has been involved for almost 10 years.

He has an exceptional knowledge of both the national theatre in its current form and the Victory theatre all the way back to its beginning in the 1920's and is a wonderful source as he has a passion for the theatre itself and has done research gaining information from almost every source available on the internet and in books.

I had the opportunity of talking to Robert at the National theatre and I didn’t just receive informative information about the theatre itself, the refurbishments, the people involved, the buildings future, the history of the venue and more but he also took me for a tour of the venue to physically show me that changes and discuss them with me. It was difficult to comprehend the amount of changes that had been made but after the tour, it understood it perfectly. I feel that this tour was very important because of some of the stuff he showed me during it, I managed to get an idea of what I wanted focus my topic on.

I found the interview very useful as he was clear and concise about each point he was making and was very easy to understand when he talked about the subject. Robert also repeated anything that I didn’t understand making sure that I understood the main fact of the venue, being the fact that where were walking was pretty much open space before the National theatre movement took over in 71’. He was extremely helpful with the interview and setting it up and also giving me other forms of research and ways to find more information.

Im glad I had the opportunity to interview Rob
