The journal article "Rescuing the Regent Theatre", by Louise Blake is extremely important in the history of the Regent as it looks at the battle many endured in order to keep it from destruction. The article not only is historically important but also has some wonderful references and pictorial examples from the time. One quote from Heritage Victoria shows the importance of the theatre to Victorian cinema. "as one of the best surviving examples of an inter-war period picture palace in Australia [with an] imaginative combination of styles and sumptuous and spectacular interior spaces."
Synopsis Provenance is a journal released by the Public Record Office of Victoria (PROV). The purpose of the journal is to provide information and scholarly articles on important victorian sites and events to the public.
