A web version of the St Kilda Village News announcing the reopening of the former St Kilda Memorial. Described as St Kilda's hidden treasure reopened for your pleasure. The memo was opened shortly after WWI in 1924. It housed the RSL, St Kilda Army and Navy club and of course a 'hidden' theatre. Mentioned are the Memo's previous uses over the years and that from 1958 it went virtually unused until a tender from David Carruthers saw it reopen in 2010 in which it hosted over 200 events. |
