Comments One of the articles concerning the Lygon Hoyts in the public media. The Lygon Hoyts made an appearance itself in this newspaper article after an adventurer, Miss Jean Burns unfortunately fell down a short flight of steps coming off the East Brunswick stage. Attending the theatre as a guest of honour, during a brief period of darkness lost her footing and injured her head whilst retuning to the auditorium.

Jean Burns had only just recently completed a splendid successful parachute jump over 3,200 feet in Essendon and landed without injury. The Lygon Hoyts was very popular to all patrons, the young and old and often had many activities for children.

The Lygon Hoyts didn't feature too much in the news, it was a popular destination both during nights and daytime matinee shows. (Rohan Mirchandaney)
