The newspaper said National cinema group Greater Union is set to build the biggest cinema complex in the southern hemisphere after winning approval to add 10 screens to its megaplex centre in the northern Perth suburb of Innaloo. The cinema complex will be Greater union's first 20-screen complex and will include an additional specially built simulation theatre.
The chief general manager of Greater Union,Mr John Smith,said yesterday the finished megaplex would seat about 4600 people.
Mr Smith said the deign of the simulation theatre was still under consideration but it was likely to be the first of its kind in Australia. |
