A Newsletter from the 'Kerobokan Home Office', which seems to be a nickname for a persons house in Bali. The Newsletter gives thorough, first hand accounts of the preparation leading up to and the opening night of the H.S.V 7 Teletheatre (the channel 7 studio in Fitzroy, built in the venue previously known as The Regent and the Solway Theatre.) There is discussion between why the Teletheatre came about including noted on the rivalry between competing television stations channel 9 and channel 7. It goes on to give an anecdotal account of the opening night, pointing out that the electronics were not yet fully prepared for a live show ie; the electrics were overheating and there weren't enough microphones for the show to run properly. It also gives insights into the nerves of the host "Norman Spencer" who 'threw up 5 times' before his show. (AshG) |
