Comments This online article was published in response to a previous story on the Herald Sun site by Josh (last name unknown) who stated that "practically every Victorian rode in the boot on the way in to the open-air flicks at some stage". The article is a combination of stories by readers about their own devious cinematic adventures, concluding with an interview conducted by Dandenong's Lunar Drive-In Manager, David (last name unknown).

Synopsis The Herald Sun brand – in print and digital formats – is consumed each week by 2.5million Victorians (Roy Morgan, Apr 10-Mar 11).

The Herald Sun was established in 1990 as an amalgam of the afternoon daily, The Herald, and the morning daily, The Sun News-Pictorial. It is Victoria’s paper of choice – on any given day, 49 per cent of the adult population of Victoria reads the newspaper and, in the course of a week, 48 per cent of Victorians will read at least one issue.

The free-to-view, online publications of the newspapers' popularity stems from its ability to allow viewers to 'search' particular items they are interested in from previous editions
