A short, precise collection of dates cataloguing Hoyts Drive-in / Starlite Village Drive-in Frankstons' changes in capacity. Changes range from 600 places in 1956 (the venues opening, under the Hoyts company name)to 508 places in 1971 (the year Village became partners in the venues operation). There was only one other capacity alteration made during 1961 to 560 places. |
Synopsis |
Film Weekly Magazine was owned and published by Odhams press. It ran from the early 1930's to mid 1939. In 1939 it merged with Picturegoer Magazine. This magazine went through a number of formats. The most collectable are the famous names from the beginning and end of the series. These magazines were the largest format film magazines from the 30?s. They are the most rare, and therefore the most collectable of all the magazines published at the time. Full archives of the magazine can be viewed at www.filmweeklymagazine.com
