Comments This news provides people’s experience in different drive-ins. So, even Toorak Drive-in and other drive-ins were closed, but people still remember the time past. For them, they have nothing else to share but memories and happiness.

Some of drive-ins were survived during that period, the other were closed. To these ordinary people, they enjoyed their life with their children, families and friends. However, to these developers, they are just not interested in drive-ins.

The situation was very tough for all drive-in theatres in mid 80s. The elder recalled that Toorak Drive-in was sold to invest. They had very good time when went there watching movies. In mid 80s, many drive-ins were closed. The elder recalled they had very good experience in drive-ins.

Take Toorak Drive-in as an example, in mid 80s, it was sold out because of local development. People enjoy the big land that their children can play around. People enjoy the lifestyle that they can wear pyjamas, they do not worry about tall people at their front. Many families can afford the reasonable entrance ticket. Toorak Drive-in was closed, to people who used go to drive-ins with families is a painful story. These permanent residents live around it. They need to change their lifestyle. To some of those who still love drive-ins, it is an unrevised fact that they have to accept.

Share the past, share the great joy.
