Comments Stone Bros is an attempt at lighthearted Aboriginal humour, with the undertones of deeper sensitive issues. The director Richard Frankland storytelling abilities are apparent, the movie moves along with ease. Frankland paints a clear and humorous account of the situations involved in this movie, also tying in deeper issues of place and identity.
Synopsis Stone Bros is based around two main characters Eddie and his 'cuz' Charlie. The pair journey through the outback to return a sacred stone to Eddies father. Throughout the film the pair encounter humourous situations and characters including a demonic dog, self absorbed rocker and cross dressing cousin. The movie moves from one crazed situation to the next, putting a light hearted twist on issues like sense of place and identity.
