Comments The references played a big part in making this page, however, i found some references where way more useful that others. For example, Eve Bailey's Australian Rules webpage was the most information filled reference i used. It is in depth and correctly analysed. In contrast the article from theage.com was way more focused on the controversial side of things. As 'Australian Rules' is a touchy film about an interracial friendship, this article decided to focus more on the racial problems. Although The age article had limited information, i was still able to gather a lot of knowledge on the racial issues of the film.

Synopsis In an isolated South Australian fishing town, the only thing that connects the whites and the blacks is football. A story of an exceptional inter-racial friendship between Gary Black and Dumby Red. Dumby is the star football player whilst Gary is the intelligent son of an alcoholic and brutal white fisherman. As Gary becomes infatuated with Dumby's older sister and their team win the premiership, it begins a chain of events that ends in tragedy.
