What's makes a film black??? the colour of the director??? The title of the article leaves much to be desired ( i think ) Informative none the less with some history on the lead to the film and a reference to other indigenous film makers who have released features in Australia.

The articel refers to Rachel's past work in documentary with the ABC TV's indigenous program unit how the film was inspired. "Radiance" has been adpapted from Louis Nowra's 1993 play when she saw a 10minute monolgue from the play where Nowra persuaded her to direct a feature.
