Title Why Australia Has Not Yet Seen Helen With Her Son: Kidnapping!: 'Mr. Twelvetrees' Husband And Manager, Says So: The 'Million Dollar' Baby
Author(s)Author Unknown
Publication Date 14-12-1935
Page Number 11
Comments Despite the newspaper's claims that Twelvetrees' husband and child have been concealed from the public, this is in direct opposition with the fact that on 5/12/35 the Sydney Morning Herlad ran an article describing her home-life in Sydney at the start of a typical working day, including references to husband and child. ('Helen Twelvetrees Goes To WOrk: The Beginnings Of A Film, p.9)

Aside from such facts, the article champions married mothers in show-business in a very liberal fashion.
Much fun is made of Twelvetrees' husband Woody (posing as her manager) who desperately tries to avoid press coverage and is compelled to provide elaborate excuses as to why Twelvetrees young son has been kept a secret.

Features 'papparazi' photos.
Synopsis A sensationalist exposure of Twelvetrees' marital status and role of mother, until then apparently hidden from the public.

No critism is spared of the way the media has concealed these truths, with arguments through-out the article claiming the social benefits of a more honest profile of a star.
