Comments "It returns to the nation and it enables us to tell the Australian story, the world wants to hear what we are". Simon Crean opens up his interview with this statement as to why the government invests in the Australian film industry. It is quite an interesting interview as it brings up ideas of why the government is so confident in the industry and why it has so much faith in it. This video is important for Film students to see it from a politicians perspective, as often it is the politicians who deal with our queries on a range of matters. Although there may be a lagging interest in the film industry, it illustrates that if the government continues to be keen, then the people should follow in these steps and appreciate what their nations brings up.
