This website unfortunately only showed movies from 1971 to 1973. Why it does not show movies after or even before this is unknown, although there are some theories as to why it doesn't show the movies played in 1970. Having looked through a lot of documents and doing research, we can see that the cinema within the Astrojet was not meant to be a major attraction of the Space Centre, and was something extra that they brought out with it. This could be why in 1970 they did not record the movies they showed as it wasn't a major attraction, and only until the following year did they really take this up. The showing of "Beneath the Planet of the Apes" tells me so. |
| Synopsis |
This website shows the films that were shown at the Astrojet Cinema during its entire run-time for the first few years. A big one to take not of is "Beneath the Planet of the Apes" which screened from the 7th of October 1971 to the 13th of October 1971. It displays the movie screen times for all the films within these years, but it incomplete as it does not show the film timetables after 1973 nor for the Space Centre's launch in 1970. An incomplete but useful database. |
