Comments The book is intended for all those interested in Australian Murders and impractically the murder that occurred at the Crystal Palace Theatre in Caulfield 1952. The book and the re-telling of the event could be used in order to really visualize the night. It gives a clear image to where the people involved were around the Crystal Palace. It is a very detailed report of what happened. However this chapter does not add much to the Crystal Palace Theatre legacy, as it was only the setting to the scene, therefore its value is not significant. However, as this event is home to a book titled “Murder!: 25 True Australian Crimes”, readers may be compelled to believe that an event chosen to be in a book titled like this, would be a very serious and significant. This murder nevertheless plays a very important role in the history of the theatre.

It is difficult to understand whether this is a reliable source and if it gives true description to what happened. It is not an original source, but a re-call of the incident. Books tend to exaggerate events to make them seem more thrilling and interesting. The authors would manipulate it by dramatic wording, therefore influencing the true facts of the occasion.
