Icon Film Distribution Australia has both Facebook and Twitter links on the page. In relation to South Solitary it is one of the most reliable and in depth discussions about the film. The text is intended I think for all persons wishing to write their own reviews, read more about the actors and the crew. This information is invaluable as a resource for an assignment like this. The website provides links into a website wholly based on the film with excellent visuals, sound and great information within that webpage there is a synopsis, about the film section, where is was filmed information, links to external websites and images of the film. This webpage is opened with a trailer of the film which lures you into the website as you sieve through the information. The text within this is important to show the significance of the film, the hard work that has been put in as well as highlighting the wonderful skill of the actors and crew as it provides a paragraph about the person including their other successes and awards within Australia, this I think is important to show that Australia can achieve great results and does recognise its crew members. The information is excellent for my discussion as it gives complete movie background and a written example of what the film is about. Although this website could provide more information about the themes and motifs behind the film which would allow it to focus on the film at a complete different level and as such would benefit my topic a lot more. The text offered is a particularly intelligent as Icon is the filmâs production company therefore it is information directly from the film without bias, opinion or influence. The text is purely informative and I would suggest that to obtain background information as a starting point this would be the place to get it. |
