Comments Caarp, the Cinema database gives a brief tabled account of the history of Cinema Croydon, including the amount of screens it has, how many people it can accommodate and the dates it opened and closed. It shows the history of the cinema from Croydon Twin to Australian Cinema Croydon. However Caarp is slightly out of date, and wrong on a couple of accounts. They don’t have the most resent closure of Croydon Cinema, which was then reopened as Plaza Croydon Cinema. Caarp’s articles it lists below aren’t completely relevant of the Croydon Cinema that is at 3 Hewish Road. Also, most of the references on Caarp for Croydon Cinema are broken links, which leaves it fairly unless to help with immediate further information without having to dig through other means.

Caarp is not the most up to date resource of Croydon Cinema but is however a good place to start to get an initial surface level understanding of the many lives of the suburban cinema.
