Comments Following the successful opening weekend of the film Charlie and Boots which was titled the best opening weekend for any Australian film, the Sydney Morning Herald released a review of the film. In comparison the previous reviews written by the local rural newspapers of which the production team rolled through, this particular review illustrates a more city approach to viewing the film. The writer opens the review basing her evaluations purely on the actors of Paul Hogan and Shane Jacobson. The way she talks about the pair, one may be led to believe she’s discussing a pair of Hollywoods finest, and not two Australians dressed in Khaki and driving a beat up bomb around Australia. This says a lot for the Australian film industry. Not only does the film appeal to the small town country folk, but the city slickers are loving it too. This review proves successful and would urge any city goers to see the film, whether in doubt. This piece of writing proves successful for the promotion of the film yet again. With this review published on a larger scale it may also appeal internationally and reinforce this greatness of the Australian film industry worldwide.
