Title The Film Weekly-Two Theatres included in new entertainment centre
Town Sydney
State NSW
Country Australia
Publication Date 24-12-1964
Citation Date
Comments The article, which made the front page of The Film Weekly in December 1964, gives account of the opening of both the My Fair Lady and The Embassy in Bourke Street in 1964.

The Embassy opened with It’s a Wonderful Life on Christmas Eve. The theatre was much smaller than its sister, the My Fair Lady theatre.

This is perhaps the article that gives us a description on how the theatres looked like, at that time.

This is a really good article; it gives a detailed account on how beautiful the architecture for these two cinemas were.
